How a Swiss casino investigates flagged gaming behaviour automatically: the robot gathers the data and calculates the risk, compliance gets a finished basis for the ban decision.
The Swiss Federal Gaming Board oversees casino operations in Switzerland; that includes monitoring gaming behaviour for patterns that may harm guests. For the compliance team, each alert meant gathering gaming and financial data, calculating the risk, requesting missing details from the guest and producing the investigation report - 30 to 60 minutes, with an average of ten alerts a day and more than fifty over the holiday season. On top of that came reviewing and filtering the alerts, which took time every hour.
A robot monitors the platform where gaming patterns are flagged. When a player is flagged, it starts the investigation: it searches the player's gaming and financial data and outputs a risk calculation, presented as a form to a compliance team member, who decides whether the player should be banned. If the player's data is not found, the robot asks the player for it via a form; without an answer within a set timeframe, it bans the player automatically.
